To provide people of Jalandhar
and surrounding areas with a modern and an environmental
friendly alternative, a Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) based
Crematorium has been added to the existing facilities. This is
the latest and the first plant of its kind in Doaba Region.
The alternative will provide a
permanent solution and help save approx 40,000 kgs. of wood
every month & will also save hundreds of fully grown trees
which provide oxygen & many other benefits for our living &
are cut down every year for this purpose. It will reduce cost
of cremation by approx 50% and help in pollution control. It
may be pertinent to mention here that a number of people can
not even afford the cost of funeral of their loved ones due to
high cost of wood which would be reduced by half with the new
facility.
The project which includes
Equipment, Building, back-up Generator etc. are estimated to
cost Rs.75 Lacs approx. We have received contribution of Rs.20
Lacs from the Cheif Minister of Punjab Sh.Parkash Singh
Badal & Rs.10 Lacs from the Municipal Corporation Jalandhar &
another amount of Rs.10 Lacs is awaited.
Mr.J.K.Gupta of ANR Motors
Private Limited, Jalandhar donated Rs.5 Lacs for the LPG
Cremation Plant.
Shrimati Ashwinder Kaur from
Canada also donated Rs.2 Lacs for the LPG
Cremation Plant.
We also provide free cremation
service to the poor & needy people & the financial help for
the same is being borne by Sh.Charanjit Singh Channi (Chairman
C.T. Group of Institutions Jalandhar).
